Intense pulse light

As the population ages, ever-increasing numbers of people are interested in improving their appearance. IPL treatments can be used to help restore the skin's youthful appearance.

The gentle, non-ablative treatments use broad spectrum light to treat the face, chest, neck and hands—virtually anywhere that sun damage shows.

HOW IT WORKS

IPL technology provides a range of wavelengths from 515 nm up to about 1200 nm .A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small, smooth, transparent handpiece which is gently placed over the skin. Cut-off filters in the handpiece change the wavelength range allowing it to be optimized for different applications and skin types. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions damaging them. The body's natural processes then remove the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.

Regimen for IPL treatment:

IPL Skin Treatments using Photorejuvenation often consist of full-face treatment or treatment of isolated body areas like the hands or chest. The treatment regimen typically consists of four to six treatments administered at three week intervals

As a sub-epidermal procedure, IPL Skin Treatments using Photorejuvenation is a safe produce and requires little to no alteration in the patient's normal routine.

UNIVERSAL IPL

M22's standard IPL treatment Offers patients photorejuvenation, permanent hair reduction, age spot reduction, vein erasure... all using one universal treatment head. SapphireCool Light Guides (15 x 35 mm and 8 x 15 mm) maximize patient comfort and enhance Light Guide durability.

What to expect:

IPL treatment improves the appearance of photoaged skin, removes age spots (sun-induced freckles), most benign brown pigments, and redness caused by broken capillaries through a process called photorejuvenation for face and body. The process is ideal for patients with active lifestyles because the procedure requires no downtime and has a low risk of side effects.

Skin Care : Not-to-do list !

Five errors in skin care

How seemingly small gaps lead to major damage.

Omission of sunscreen during the dark winter day or night, going to bed with makeup are things that, once made, is unlikely to cause any significant damage, but if you do too much, even such small gaps in care for your skin, it can lead to visible signs of aging.

On the other hand, if you spend just a few minutes a day for reasonable skin care can slow the emergence of wrinkles, brown spots and other signs of the times. Whether you regularly ignore skin care, or you do simply random error, we suggest the five most common reasons that lead to skin aging, and easily achievable solutions to maintain its fresh look.

1. I'm too tired to cleanse your face

"It was a long day and the last thing I want to do now is to clean your face."

The two minutes that it will take to clean the face before bedtime may give you a fresh look for years to come. Sleeping with dirty, oily residue or makeup person causes acne and enlarged pores. To easily remove the remains of the day from his face, always keep hand wipes.

2. Sunscreen lotions are for summer

"I do not need sunscreen - winter is!"

Exposure to UVA rays - the main culprit for skin aging, it is all year round, not just during the summer. And as these rays can pass through glass, you are protected by them even inside buildings. The main way to protect yourself from UVA rays and keep your skin is to use sunscreen every day or moisturizer with an SPF factor of 30.

3. Products are too expensive

"Taking care of my skin would cost too much money."

To save money, shop in the stores and, rather than through distributors. According to research, mass-produced products are equally effective than expensive branded lines. Look for active ingredients, not fancy packaging. The most effective anti aging skin containing retinoids, peptides, vitamin C and moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid.

4. My efforts were in vain

"I've tried almost everything and nothing works."

It may take even two months until you see the results of many of the ingredients in the products. So give them time. Another prerequisite is to combine new products slowly - at most one product every two months. Skin should build tolerance to aggressive anti-aging ingredients. Excess on the other hand can cause inflammation, which accelerates the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots and overall skin aging.

5. My skin is too sensitive

"Exfoliation makes my face red and irritated."

Removing dead skin cells helps to soften wrinkles and freshen the skin, but aggressive cleaning particles can cause redness and irritation. To safely scrubbed skin, choose a chemical exfoliator - as glikolichna or salicylic acid or a product with gentle cleansing grains. Avoid products with uneven texture and galling particles such as the walnut shells. Exfoliate once or twice a week

Top nutrients for Glowing Healthy Skin

A healthy diet boosts your overall health and promotes glowing, healthy skin. Eating a variety of nutritious foods will have your skin looking its best.

Many of the nutrients we eat as part of a healthy diet enhance the skin’s elasticity and help create the appealing glow of healthy skin .

Blueberries Fight Aging Skin

Antioxidants help fight the signs of aging skin, and blueberries are a great source. Rich in vitamin C, blueberries can play a healthy role in an otherwise decadent dessert and taste great as a cereal topping and tossed into salads. Other sources of antioxidants that you can include in your healthy diet are red wine and dark chocolate.

Water Hydrates Your Skin

“There are molecules in the skin that actually bind water. “Your skin will not be as plump if you are dehydrated.” Skin also becomes dry when it loses too much water, so you need to drink plenty of liquids to replace e daily water loss.

Green Tea Helps Skin and Overall Health

Green tea has two benefits for your skin: It contains antioxidants, which may fight the effects of aging, and drinking it is a good way to stay hydrated. When given the option, choose green tea over beverages that don’t promote skin health.

Sweet Potatoes Help Reduce Wrinkles

Sweet potatoes give you a healthy dose of vitamin A, which has been found to help reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging. There are several topical creams on the market that contain vitamin A, but be cautions using too many of these skin products, which can be drying and irritating. It’s better to include sweet potatoes and other foods rich in vitamin A as part of a healthy diet.

Broccoli Helps Fight Fine Lines

Broccoli and other green vegetables are great for the skin. The richer the color of veggies and fruits, the more likely they are to contain the nutrients you need for a healthy diet. - Darker broccoli florets provide more vitamins A and C, and both of these vitamins help fight fine lines and wrinkles.

Avocado Enhances Your Complexion

Avocados are rich in healthy fats, vitamins A and C, and fiber, make them an almost perfect healthy food that enhances your complexion  and fight aging skin. Avocado is also a common ingredient in homemade or natural skin masks, but it is better off putting avocado in your salad than on your face. “Masks with avocado can cause clogged pores. “Definitely avoid them if you are acne  prone.”

Vitamin D Slows Skin Aging

Vitamin D  isn’t found naturally in the diet, but it is important for healthy skin, especially as people age.. People usually get Vitamin D through sun exposure, but if you live in a less sunny area or stay inside a lot, you need to get it through your diet. You can drink vitamin D-enriched beverages, eat foods fortified with vitamin D, or take a supplement in order to help slow the aging process on your skin.

Eat well and avoid foods high in saturated fat and you’ll see how it can result in good skin !

Vitilogo leads to Emotional & Social Distress !

Vitiligo is a common skin condition in which white patches appear on the skin. Anybody can be affected irrespective of age, sex and race. The exact cause of vitiligo is not known. There appears to be a genetic predisposition. Environmental risk factors (stress, traumatic events, injury) could be the precipitating factors. Vitiligo is not contagious or infectious. There is no scientific basis to prove that any specific type of food causes or worsens vitiligo.

Diagnosis is mostly clinical. Vitiligo can be difficult to treat and results can take time. When results are not seen with one treatment, another may work better. Presently there are number of treatment options available: Steroids creams, Placental extract, PUVA therapy, Broad band UVB and oral medications. Newer modalities of treatment are Calcipotriol, immunomodulator creams, narrow brand UVB and pigment transplantation.

NB UVB is relatively recent therapy involves exposure of the vitiligo patches to ultraviolet B rays of narrow range of wavelength of 310 to 315 nm, with a peak at 311 nm. This therapy does not require ingestion or topical application of psoralens, hence there are very few side effects. Furthermore it can be safely used in pregnancy and in children. It works by stabilisation of depigmentation process, activating residual melanocytes and immunomodulating effects.

Vitiligo is not fatal and it does not have other physical symptoms other than white patches. But, the emotional and social effects of vitiligo on people are well-documented.
